This meeting was very well received and attended by approximately 75 concerned Unit Owners. We thank all Volunteers and Board Members in making our GVP Annual Meeting, August 2, 2015 a huge success. Meeting agenda was as follows:

Executive Board:
Ivanna Johnson - President
Janice Teisch - Vice President
Rose Storch - Secretary
Dolores Licausi - Treasurer
Board Members:
John O'Neill
Tony Licausi*
Herb Smith*
* Up for re-election. We congratulate Tony Licausi and Herb Smith as they were re-elected and will continue to serve on the Board.
Grandview Financials: A Financial Slide Presentation had been given on all finances beginning with the fire of April 14, 2012. All the expenses that occurred after the fire were listed, such as accounting, asbestos clean-up, insurance, the legal assistance we needed, office and mailing, maintenance*, paychex*, security*, taxes and utilities. The income due to Unit Owners who continued to pay their maintenance so that appropriate bills could still be paid was also presented.
As of today, we have more people paying than in the past, however if we gained the support of approximately 60 more Unit Owners, we would be able to reduce the $90 per month Maintenance Fee to about $65. We have been giving this our utmost.
* These expenses were incurred either shortly before or right after the fire and are specific to 2012 year only.
Grandview Property Updates: Discussion included resent Asbestos notice that was received from the New York State Department of Labor.
Grandview Legal Matters: Our local lawyers, Brian P. Rourke, Esq and John R. Theadore, Esq from the Law Offices of Brian P. Rourke, PC in Liberty, NY gave very informative presentation about the cases they have been handling for Grandview over last three years.
Coverage Case: Paul Breene, Esq from Reed Smith gave a great presentation about the Coverage Case. Paul Breene has 30 years of experience in this area and has been quick successful. He stated that with all the evidence that we have been able to supply him with, Grandview has a very strong case. In addition, Paul Breene, Esq will be providing us with information as it becomes available. Please see Grandview's Brief as of July 15, 2015 along with the Insurance Companies Brief as of August 10, 2015 on this website in the next news post.
